About the Author
Dave Dunham has competed in the Mt Washington Road Race 16 times between 1988 and 2005. He won three times including a one-second victory in 1989 over seven-time champion and teammate Bob Hodge. Dunham represented the U.S. in the World Mountain running championships from 1992 to 2000 and earned a silver medal in 1993. He is credited with starting the USATF New England Mountain Running circuit. Dunham, a longtime employee of the US Treasury Department, lives with his wife, Cathy, in Haverhill, MA. This is his first book, which is dedicated to the memory of pioneering mountain runner Lyndon Ellefson.
