39th Mount Washington Road Race

The race's major sponsor, HEALTHSOURCE NEW HAMPSHIRE, a CIGNA HealthCare Company, has collaborated with the Mount Washington Auto Road and the race organizers to raise funds for Special Olympics, by sponsoring race numbers for entrants who included donations to Special Olympics along with their race applications. The 100 top donors received these numbers, while all other donors were entered in a special drawing for the next 100 race numbers, prior to the main lottery by which entrants are selected. In addition, any applicants who were not chosen in the lottery had the option of donating their entry fee, rather than having it returned to them. As a result of all these innovations, Healthsource and the Mt. Washington Road Race have raised $10,000 this spring for Special Olympics.
